The focus of Mazenod Mission Day is to provide students with an understanding of the work of Oblate priests throughout the world and an opportunity to participate in Christian service. In particular we are attempting to support the work of Oblates in the provinces of India and China. The focus of the Oblate’s work in these regions is to support families with education, health care and in particular, promote an environment to support the dignity for all. The Oblates of Mary Immaculate are a Missionary Congregation working in approximately 68 countries. In particular there are many Oblate priests, parishes and schools in India. The Oblates (including Australian Oblates) serve the people of India and China through schools, youth ministries and orphanages. As part of a commitment to provide opportunities for students to experience the richness of Christian service, Mazenod College will facilitate an annual immersion experience to India in December and to China in April.
